Vow Renewal at Hampton Roads Winery

Barbara and James celebrated their 10 year wedding anniversary with a vow renewal with all of their closest friends and family at the Hampton Roads Winery in Surry, Virginia. Barbara and James are the absolutely definition of soul mates. They are best friends and the the perfect example of true love to their three children, who were all part of the ceremony.

We started the day off capturing Barbara’s gorgeous details, from her shoes, her Eco Flower bouquet, and the same dress she wore to say “I do” ten years ago. Barbara is a professional hair stylist so she of course had to take care of her daughters hair for the big day! They loved being pampered by their mom. I loved the gold, black, and white color palette, everything looked so beautiful! Meanwhile, Chris was with James and their son while they were getting into their white tuxedos. They have such strong bonds with their children and you can definitely see that in the photos. Their vow renewal ceremony was so beautiful! It was such an honor to capture this momentous occasion for them.

The grounds of the winery were so perfect for their portraits! It was so easy to photograph their genuine love for one another. They had no other care in the world than to be there with each other, remembering every detail of that day and reminiscing about the past ten years. When we were about to wrap up their portraits, we spotted hay bales and they asked to do photos there. They hopped on top of them with no hesitation. They are such a fun couple! After that, they danced their way into their reception with all of their guests eagerly waiting for them. Their first dance was so beautiful to watch and capture. I just can’t say enough how beautiful and authentic their love is.
