Timber Creek Engagement Session

How they met
Nick and I met via Bumble in 2017. We matched on a Wednesday, and on the previous Sunday, I had actually waited on his best friend at the time and his boyfriend. Apparently, they’d texted Nick to say that he would have liked their server, so when we matched on Bumble, it seemed like fate. We talked via the app and text for about two weeks, and then we finally went on our first date. I always say that Nick is my kind of weird. I had blue and purple hair when we met, which he loved.
We’ve always accepted each other for who we are, and there’s never been a desire to change anything because it works for us. Nick is my best friend, and the fact that he asked me to re-dye my hair purple and blue for the wedding meant more to me than he probably realizes. As he said: it’s me. And that’s us. We are not always the most conventional, but we love each other more than anything. I think we make a pretty awesome team to go through life together.
The Proposal
Nick proposed in our living room on New Year’s Eve, just after the ball drop. I turned around to cheers our friends, and he threw his plastic champagne glass over his shoulder, and when I turned around to see what happened, he was on one knee. He asked me to marry him (which made him choke up a little, which was kind of amazing for me, since he isn’t always the most emotional person haha). The music that plays after the ball drop was all perfectly timed, and I think all future NYE will be so special.
Have to include a silly one, of course!!
