You might not know this, but we L-O-V-E coffee! You might even say that we are coffee “snobs”, but hey, if you are going to enjoy life, you might as well not waste your time with Keurig cups. Newport News, Virginia is a hub for delicious eats, but little do people know that it has one of the best Fair Trade, Organic, Single-Origin coffee roasters…Newport News Coffee Roasters: Fennario Coffee Roasters.

We can thank Instagram for uncovering this artisan roaster. When we saw that he was at a local market, we had to go! At first sip, our taste buds were saying, “Hey, there is something different going on here and we like it!” After a friendly chat with Heath and Heidi, the owners of Fennario Coffee Roasters, we found out that Fennario is Newport News’s only fluid bed coffee roaster.

We know you may not have had Fennario coffee yet, but in simple terms, their coffee is air roasted. This allows for a quicker roast, reduced bean damage due to overheating, better flavor profiles and the best part is that it is more energy efficient! This method is in line with their mission of “crafting the most delicious, environmentally friendly, and ethically sourced cup of coffee.” The crema on top of all of this, is that Heath delivers all of his local Newport News orders by bicycle!
