Belle Isle Richmond Enagagement Session

Caroline & Michael’s Belle Isle Richmond Engagement Session was so much fun! This is where Michael proposed to Caroline so it was the perfect spot. for their engagement session. They are both aerospace engineers that work on satellites for space! Saturday is their wedding day at The Barn at Timber Creek! We are so excited to capture their special day!

How they met

A mutual friend introduced us when Caroline was putting a Dungeons and Dragon campaign together. Turns out that we were both neighbors! Funny story. Michael asked out Caroline. After one date, she turned him down. We were still friends and hung increasingly more and then six months later we decided to give it another try. So our “first real date” for when it stuck was Korean hot pot.

The Proposal

Michael proposed on the James River in Richmond, VA. Caroline is from Richmond and is very proud of the city so Michael wanted it to be on the river there. He demanded that we go there on the way back home to NOVA after visiting parents last Thanksgiving. We walked down the river (Pony Pasture), found a nice rock, he went on one knee, and opened the box upside down.
